CONTRAINDICATIONS ▾
- Peripheral vascular disease – reduced blood flow to the feet or lower limbs
- Diabetes with risk of pressure wounds – diabetes where skin damage or sores may develop more easily from pressure
- Haglund’s exostosis – a painful bony enlargement at the back of the heel
- Tailor’s bunion with bursa irritation – inflammation around a bunion on the outside of the foot near the little toe
- Complicated hallux valgus with bursa irritation – an inflamed bunion at the base of the big toe
- Morton’s neuroma – nerve pain or thickening between the toes, often causing burning or tingling
NOTE: If a brace has been prescribed or recommended, it is wise to go to a professional establishment that specialises in medical aids or rehabilitation articles.
